Welcome reception

A welcome reception will take place at the hotel of the meeting on Sunday, May 29th at 20:00. All participants are invited to attend.

 

 

 

 

Conference dinner

The conference dinner will take place on Thursday, June 2nd at Finca El Realengo, in the historical gardens of "El Retiro", one of the best botanical gardens in Europe.

There will be a concert at the end of the dinner featuring performances by Profs. Alan Marscher and Jim Webb. Please let us know if you wish to join the musical celebration for a grand finale!

The price of the conference dinner is 52 € per person.

 

Sightseeing excursions

Málaga city is the capital of the Province of Málaga, and it is the second most populous city of Andalusia and the sixth largest in Spain. Málaga's history spans about 2,800 years, being founded by the Phoenicians as Malaka about 770 BC, making it one of the oldedst cities in the world.

There will be no scientific sessions for Wednesday afternoon. The travel agency of the meeting, "Andalucia Travel", has arranged several sightseeing excursions for this afternoon. For each tour a minimum of 30 people is required. All the visits include an English speaking guide.

 

  • Guide tour to the old historic center of Malaga. This includes the Cathedral, Alcazaba, and a walking tour around the historical city center. It is a 4 hours excursion. Price per person: 29.00€

 

 

 

  • Antequera: Antequera dolmens, 'Torcal de Antequera' Natural Park, and a tour by bus to the Collegiate of Santa Maria La Mayor. 5 hours excursion. Price per person: 35.00€

 

 

 

 

  • Mijas: A typical small town in mountains at 25 Km from Málaga. A walking tour visiting the bullring placed in the higher part of the town. 4 hours excursion. Price per person: 25.00€

  • Granada: without lunch, price per person: 63.00€. Including lunch, price per person: 78.00€. Available only Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Departure time 7:50 hs.
  • Sevilla: without lunch, price per person: 49.00€. Including lunch, price per person: 67.00€. Available only Wednesday and Friday. Departure time 8:15 hs.
  • Córdoba: without lunch, price per person: 49.00€. Including lunch, price per person: 67.00€. Available only Thursday. Departure time 8:15 hs.
  • Ronda: without lunch, price per person: 39.00€. Including lunch, price per person: 55.00€. Available only Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Departure time 7:20 hs.
  • Tanger: Including lunch, price per person: 75.00€. Available Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Departure time 6:15 hs. Please note that to visit Morocco you may need different traveling documents (passport/VISA) than to visit Spain.
